Swing Jazz Studio is a classy instrument that combines sleek appearance and excellent performance for both studio and stage. Basically, Jazz Studio is focused on active bass, but it is freely convertible between active and passive with the toggle switch.

Studio Custom Pickups
Studio Custom pickup is optimized for 18V active circuit in the combination with Studio 410 Preamp. Copper shielding of pickup itself helps noise reduction. Wound with high quality coil and produced under uncompromising process from coil-winding to wax potting. 18 volt output supports tight and powerful sound of Jazz Studio, and high output guarantees outstanding responsivity to attack; from sensitive touch to hard digging, the pickups deliver 100% of what players want to do.

Studio 410 Preamp (supported by 18 volts output)
Studio 410 Preamp controls 3-band equalizing: Treble, Middle, and Bass. With the toggle switch in the "active" position, all knobs function as an active bass. With the toggle switch in the "passive" position, Bass, Middle & Treble knob have no function while other 2 knobs function as usual.

NuBone Nut & Spoke-wheel Truss Rod
All SWING Electric Guitars & Basses are equipped with Graph Tech Nu-Bone Nuts. Compared to standard materials, you'll hear crystal clear bell-like high end, big open lows, and a noticeable increase in overall sustain.
Graph Tech Nuts have quickly become an important tone performance tool for many guitar manufacturers, luthiers and playing professionals around the world. Especially, Nu-Bone nuts have rich tone and sustain, without the inconsistency found in ivory, bone and other natural materials. Bone and ivory have hard and soft spots (grain), throughout each piece, hampering consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar.
You can adjust the truss rod by using Spoke wheel adjustment at the end of the neck. Instead of the adjustment being at the headstock where you would remove a cover and find the right allen wrench etc. |
