Joint Pocket
Typical bolt-on joint does not include "painting removal in the joint pocket."
This process is a sort of painstaking course to guitar manufacturers because of a high error rate and additional time. So, actually, only a handful of high-end manufacturers prefer this method. But, result of the painting removal inside joint pocket is substantial: enhanced transmission of resonance from neck to body compared to typical bolt-on joint.
